This is an entirely nut free camp, please do not bring nuts of any kind, some trekkers are severely allergic.
One 5-gallon bucket with lid to pack all of your personal items in (except your sleeping bag, blanket and coat). The bucket will serve as your seat for the entire trek.
One warm sleeping bag. It will get cold at night.
One old blanket (wool if possible)
Two Heavy Duty XL Garbage Bags (Pack sleeping bag & blanket in one, 2nd one as backup)
One warm coat
One rain poncho
Good Sun Hat with Ties (It will be windy)
Bring your coat and poncho with you on the bus
Wear your pioneer clothing on Monday for travel and bring 1-2changes of clothing
One pair of hiking shoes or boots. Do not buy new shoes. Sturdy running or tennis shoes will work fine if you don't have well broken-in hiking boots.
One extra pair of old shoes for river crossings (will get wet)
8 pair sturdy socks
2 sets of underclothing
2 Bandanas (1 will be provided)
One small hand towel and a brush or a comb
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Band-Aids and prescribed medication only
Old Book of Mormon, personal journal pages, pen or pencil
2 Heavy-duty garbage bags
Sunglasses. Bring prescription eyeglasses but not contacts
Chapstick, insect repellent, and sunscreen (sunscreen factor of 50 or more)
Work gloves
Warm clothing for sleeping, consider a beanie, it can get cold, especially at night.
Small bottle of hand sanitizer
Small flashlight
Eye Drops (it gets windy)
Camera with a protective case
Harmonica or small musical instrument (NO Cell phones, or other electronic items)
